Migraines

Rachel, a woman in her mid-forties, came in with her husband. She had such bad migraines that she was unable to drive. Since they had the financial resources, they had been all over the country looking for help. She had classic migraine symptoms of photosensitivity, vomiting, and severe pain, and would often spend a number of days in bed when a migraine struck.

Upon examination, I found her bite to be misaligned and all her chewing muscles in extremely acute spasm (classic TMD or TMJ Syndrome symptoms). An appliance was made to correct her bite. This relieved the muscle spasms and her migraines disappeared.

This was then followed by reshaping her own teeth so that she could then go without the appliance. Nutritional support was also provided. In the approximately 15 years since treatment she has been fine, needing just a few minor readjustments.
