Celeste, a forty year old nurse, began a weight lifting program to improve her physical fitness. After numerous training sessions using heavy weights, Celeste developed sciatica. At first she treated her back pain using medication and she then resorted to massage, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture. Celeste indicated that acupuncture seemed to provide her the most relief. Taking into consideration her long-standing chronic condition, a course of Oriental medicine and acupuncture was recommended.  After treating her with Oriental medicine and five acupuncture sessions, Celeste’s pain was gone.
