FLOWpresso is a non-invasive stimulation and drainage therapy.

FLOWpresso is used to enhance blood and lymphatic flow, improve the cellular environment and promote relaxation and sleep management.

Improving Lymphatic flow and drainage is one of the most important things we can do for our health.

At some point, most people have experienced an enlarged lymph gland. What you may not know is that this gland is just one part of a vast system that courses through your body. You can think of it as an extensive tunnel system with periodic reservoirs along the way – the lymph glands. Plasma fluid leaks from the cardiovascular system into interstitial tissue; It is the job of the lymph system and the approximately 600 lymph nodes to collect some of this fluid and filter out toxins and pathogens and return it to the venous system. Unlike the pumping of blood, the lymph is moved by the squeezing of the muscles as they move. There are valves to stop movement in the wrong direction. The above is a very abbreviated explanation of the lymph system. What is essential to know is that the lymph system is critical for fluid balance, fighting infections, and fat absorption. People that are ill tend to have stagnant lymph fluid. Having proper lymph flow is essential to good health—the FLOWpresso aids in the movement of the lymph.

How does FLOWpresso work? FLOWpresso is a combination of Compression, Deep Pressure, and Far-infrared.

Comprised of individual chambers, the FLOWpresso provides compression to release stagnated fluid (toxins) from the tissues.

FLOWpresso delivers cyclic compression to different areas of the body. Each chamber inflates sequentially before its predecessor completely deflates. Compression allows the body to change the way it moves, to let go and encourage the body to release toxins.

During a FLOWpresso session, you experience a sensation similar to Deep Pressure Therapy (DPT). This session allows the body to drop into parasympathetic mode, the ‘setting’ where the body relaxes, restores, and rejuvenates.

FLOWpresso applies deep pressure to the body – similar to a hug – through each chamber, producing a profoundly relaxing effect, allowing the body to calm and release the daily stress of life.

Far infrared heat is offered and optional, with each chamber having its temperature setting. Far infrared heat is a non-invasive health-promoting therapy shown to modulate sleep.

FLOWpresso applies far-infrared heat to each of the four sections of the garment to encourage a relaxing, sleep-promoting effect along with promoting an improved state of health. The far-infrared heat embraces the body with a gentle healing warmth allowing the body to rest and relax in such a way that helps restore balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a FLOWpresso session?

A FLOWpresso session for an adult lasts between 35 and 45 minutes. Still, we recommend allowing a full hour to account for the time it takes to get in and out of the suit and adjust pressure and temperature settings to each individual. Children under 14 will have a shorter session.

What will I wear during my FLOWpresso session?

You are fully clothed and assisted by a trained technician who helps you into the suit that applies the treatment.

Where and how will my FLOWpresso treatment take place?

You will be in one of our private treatment rooms. You lie horizontally on a treatment table with your feet, legs, abdomen, and arms enclosed in the FLOWpresso suit. We offer headphones, an eye mask, and relaxing essential oils to enhance your FLOWpresso session.

What should I do during my FLOWpresso session?

Just relax. Sleep if you wish. Listen to the music and breathe in the essential oils. This session is your time to Relax, Repair, Recover & Rejuvenate.

How often should I have a FLOWpresso session?

Typically, 1-2 sessions per week are often followed by a detoxifying ionic foot bath session.

How many FLOWpresso sessions are recommended?

The number of FLOWpresso sessions recommended will depend on the person and their reason for having FLOWpresso™ sessions. Our recommendation is to have a minimum of three to six sessions.

Are there any side effects after a FLOWpresso session?

Side effects are very similar to a massage or Lymphatic Therapy, e.g., increased urination, bowel motion, and headache. We suggest drinking at least 1-2 glasses of water before each session to get the full effects and 1-2 glasses post-therapy. The body will be in detoxification mode and may get dehydrated.

Are there any contraindications to having a FLOWpresso session?
  • Heart disease, especially if increased blood flow is detrimental, e.g., congestive heart failure or uncontrolled high BP
  • Pregnancy
  • Acute infection of the affected limb, e.g., cellulitis
  • Acute/chronic bronchitis
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis
  • Fractures
  • Electronic medical implants
