Dr. Breiner was among the first proponents in Connecticut in the 1970’s of dental treatment for TMJ sufferers. As his TMJ patients found relief from their suffering, other seemingly unrelated complaints disappeared as well. His observations regarding TMJ led Dr. Breiner to realize that dentistry, viewed as part of the “whole person,” was a missing link that needed to be explored.
In 1999, after more than twenty-five years of exploration, Dr. Breiner published his first edition of Whole-Body Dentistry. This book explored the dental component as the “missing piece to better health.” He continued to draw upon his decades of experience to write Whole-Body Dentistry©: A Complete Guide to Understanding the Impact of Dentistry on Total Health. This publication has garnered numerous awards and has sold worldwide. Dr. Breiner is also a contributing author to the medical textbook Nutritional and Integrative Strategies in Cardiovascular Medicine. His chapter, “The Role of Dentistry in Cardiovascular Health and General Well-Being,” overviews the connection between dental and cardiovascular health. In addition to periodontal disease and cardiovascular problems, he highlights numerous “common” dental treatments and interventions—including root canal procedures, cavitations, and metals used in fillings—that can have a negative impact on the cardiovascular system.
Dr. Breiner treats patients for a myriad of dental concerns, including Aesthetics, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, Sleep Breathing Disorders, Mercury Toxicity, Hidden Infections from Cavitations, Dead Teeth, and Root Canals. “If you have unexplained symptoms that won’t go away, no matter what you do, the answer could be in your mouth,” states Dr. Breiner. “Understanding the vital relationship between the teeth and the rest of the body allows me to provide added levels of diagnosis and care to improve your life. Consider an integrative approach to oral health care; you could improve your wellness in astounding ways.”
Dr. Breiner founded the Breiner Whole-Body Health Center in Fairfield, Connecticut, which is the premier source for holistic dentistry and holistic medicine. The center includes Whole-Body Dentistry, Whole-Body Medicine, IV Solutions, and The NeuroEdge Brain Performance Center.
